Understanding that there are so many different cycles and seasons within and around us can feel overwhelming at first — there are so many layers, so many rhythms, all weaving into and around each other.
We begin with the outer seasons — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — each one bringing its own energy. There are seasons that pull us outward into social aliveness, and seasons that call us inward toward rest and reflection. Our bodies, our desires, and our pleasures naturally respond to these changes, whether we consciously notice it or not.
Then there are the cycles of the moon — New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon, Last Quarter — another rhythm that pulses through us. The New Moon invites reflection, new beginnings, and rest, mirroring Winter’s energy of retreat and renewal. The First Quarter Moon rises with fresh energy, a time to tend to the seeds we planted, inviting us into action and outward expression — the mirror of Spring. The Full Moon glows with the bold brilliance of Summer — a peak moment for celebration, connection, and creativity. And the Last Quarter Moon invites us to let go, to release what’s no longer needed, just as Autumn teaches us to surrender to change.
